We offer a range of machined part capabilities:

  • Davenport Model “B” five (5) spindle automatic Screw Machines to 3/4″ diameter capacity
  • Brown & Sharpe Automatic Screw Machines to 2 3/8″ diameter capacity
  • Swiss Automatic Screw machines to 3/4″ diameter capacity
  • Diversified secondary machining department fully equipped to support primary manufacturing operations
  • With significant ancillary machining capabilities including Chucking machines; Lipe automatic Bar Feeders; CNC machining; Broaching; Cross drilling & milling; Back contour-sinking; Keyway milling and custom designed attachments to complete most jobs without multiple operations
  • Materials machined include: Brass, Steel, Aluminum, Copper Alloys, Stainless Steels, Hastelloy, Inconel, Titanium and Plastics in Hex, Square, Round and Extruded Shapes

Davenport machines have multiple spindles allowing for higher volume production at very competitive pricing. For orders over 10,000 pieces, Davenport machines can easily beat CNC and other manual machine turning equipment in per part cost.

Brown & Sharpe machines can create almost any part for any type of application, and because of their versatility, Brown & Sharpe machines are the workhorses at TBW. While the throughput of a Brown & Sharpe is lower than that of a Davenport, the time required to set-up a job is also less, so Brown & Sharpes are a cost effective solution for parts with order quantities of less than 10,000 units.

Swiss machines are used to produce turned parts with very close tolerances that might not be achievable with other machining methods. These precision machines are perfect for medical, electronics, aerospace – really any industry where a high precision part is needed.

Multiple Spindle Secondary Operations machines utilize a rotary table to cycle parts through various secondary operation stations. This allows turned parts to be finished in a higher speed manner (at a lower cost) than single operation secondary processes employed at most shops. Multi-spindle secondary rotary transfer tables open up a wide variety of secondary operations.
